CARLSBAD, CA. (May 19, 2025) – Every season for over a decade, more players competing on the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour have chosen to play Titleist irons than any other brand.

This week, the game’s best are getting their first opportunity to put the NEW Titleist T-Series iron lineup to the test, as the next generation models make their debut on both tours.

Over the next three practice days at the PGA TOUR’s Charles Schwab Challenge and the DP World Tour’s Soudal Open, Titleist tour reps will be working with players to test the NEW T100, T150, T250 and T350 models and dial in their setups. The NEW T250•U and U•505 utility irons are also making their tour debut this week in Texas and Belgium.

Thursday will mark the first time NEW T-Series irons can be used in competition, a key step in Titleist’s tour seeding and validation process.

“It's years of research, player feedback, player testing,” said JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Senior Director of Club Promotions. “To bring the product out, see it tested on the golf course during a tournament week and prove itself – it’s super exciting to see all that finally come to fruition.”

The meticulous nature with which tour players approach equipment testing is continuously leveraged by Titleist R&D teams in the product development process. Only by listening to and delivering upon the needs of the best players in the game can Titleist engineers continue to introduce products that outperform the prior generation.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Russell Henley, one of the best ballstrikers on TOUR, has a clear picture of what he looks for in iron testing:

“[With] 9-iron, what I want to do is hit one really hard and be able to put it way up in the air. And then I also want to [have the ability] to take a lot of speed off and take spin off, but I still want it to land soft,” said Henley on his process.

“And then when I get into my [long] irons, I want to be able to get that ball up in the air, but I don't want to get it up in the air with too much spin... Golf is getting to be more and more specific and the more technology, the more that we're learning about the game, the more every shot needs to be approached a little bit differently and be attacked in a different way.”

Henley ranks inside the top 5 on TOUR in Greens in Regulation and Proximity this season. The 36-year-old won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March with a blended set of T200 (4) and T100 (5-9) irons.

Titleist irons have been the longstanding top choice of the best players in the world. In each of the last 11 seasons – and 20 of the last 21 – more players on the PGA TOUR have had Titleist irons in their bags than any other brand. On the DP World Tour, Titleist has been the most played iron brand for 16 straight seasons and counting.

T100 irons have also been the most played iron model on the PGA TOUR since their introduction in 2019.

Stay tuned to Titleist.com and Titleist's social channels for updates as this process continues over the coming weeks across the LPGA, the Korn Ferry Tour and all worldwide professional tours.
