Haotong Li (Pro V1) birdied two of his final three holes to win in Qatar, posting a 72-hole total of 16 under for a one-shot margin of victory. Li’s closing 3-under 69 made him the only player in the field to card all four rounds in the 60’s (69-67-67-69), and the victory marks his fourth career DPWT title.
Li ranked second for the week in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (+10.24), with over 7.5 shots coming from his approach play (2nd, +7.64). He also finished fourth in Scrambling, getting his Pro V1 up-and-down 13 of 18 attempts (72%). Over the four rounds at Doha GC, Li made an eagle and 20 birdies, including six on Sunday.
- “I play Titleist Pro V1 because I like to manipulate the ball a lot, whether it be low fades, high draws or whatever shot I need to hit, I know I can trust the golf ball to do exactly what I want it to.
- "I did do some testing with Pro V1x but found with my how much spin I tend to generate, the ball just comes out a little too high, whereas Pro V1 come off the face perfectly.
- "Also, around the greens, the ball offers me some great touch, so it really is the perfect model for me.”
The winner of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters gamed a NEW GT2 9.0 driver (Fujikura Ventus Black TR 7 X) and three Vokey Design SM10 wedges (50.08F, 54.08M, WedgeWorks 60K*) in winning his fourth DPWT title. He also played a TSR2 18.0 hybrid (Fujikura Ventus HB 10 TX).
With 35 greens in regulation during a bogey-free weekend, Yealimi Noh (Pro V1) broke through to win her first LPGA Tour title with a decisive four-shot victory, posting rounds of 68-64-63-68 to finish at 21 under.
“I told myself 2025 is going to be my year, so this is the best way to start it,” said Noh on the 18th green.
In total control of her Pro V1 over the 72 holes, she made 24 birdies and hit all but five greens in regulation (67/72, 93%), including 18-for-18 on Saturday and 17-for-18 on Sunday.
Eighty-seven players this week teed up a Titleist golf ball, 73% of the field and more than seven times the nearest competitor (12, 10%).
That included 28 players who this week made the move to NEW 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, with a total of 37 players gaming the new models.
Following a late December trip to the Titleist Performance Institute, the Founders Cup champion arrived to Florida this week with a NEW GT driver and 12 new Titleist clubs in the bag.
On Sunday, she brought them all to the winner’s circle, claiming her first LPGA victory in her first start with the new setup – featuring a GT2 driver, NEW GT2 hybrid, a blended set of T200, T150 and T100 irons and three Vokey SM10 wedges.
Cara Gainer (Pro V1x) took home the LET’s season opener in a playoff, marking her first career LET victory. Gainer made clutch birdies down the stretch on Nos. 15, 16 and 17 to post a final round 69 and match the clubhouse lead set at 9 under. After heading to a playoff with Diksha Dagar (Pro V1x), Gainer stuck her approach to set up one final birdie and clinch the title.
Jamie Rutherford captured his first career Sunshine Tour title, winning by two with his NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball after posting a final round 3-under 69. The Englishman made five birdies on Sunday in difficult conditions to card his fourth straight round in the 60’s, the only player in the field to do so.
"I was very good off the tee, and my putting was really good as well. I made some really important putts coming down the stretch. I’ve worked really hard on not being too hard on myself during a round. I’ve worked on controlling my emotions and staying in the present, and I did that today,”
Josh Geary conquered extreme conditions on Sunday with his NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball, finishing the week at 13 under to win by four. A day of high winds at 13th Beach Golf Links saw the field scoring average rise to 76.5, but Geary remained in control, making three final round birdies to maintain his advantage on the chasing pack.
