DP WORLD TOUR | Jonsson Workwear Open

Titleist Brand Ambassador  Matteo Manassero  made birdie on each of his final four holes to pull away from the field and win his fifth DP World Tour title. Manassero, gaming a  Pro V1x golf ball, TSR3 driver, T-Series irons, NEW Vokey SM10 wedges  and  Scotty Cameron putter, posted a final round 66 to cap off his fourth round of 68 or better for the week and win by three shots. His week also included a Friday 11-under 61, the low round of the week by two shots and the lowest round of his career.

It was a first win in nearly 11 years for the Italian, who made the switch to Titleist last year.

Over 72 holes at Glendower Golf Club, the 30-year-old made 23 birdies and three eagles while only dropping three shots. He led the field in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+1.43 per round) and finished 2nd in SG: Tee to Green (+2.15 per round). He was T1 in Putts per GIR (1.61), and he hit 79% greens in regulation while gaining over a shot and a half per round (+1.68, 4th) on the field with his approach play.

Manassero on his new SM10 Wedges:

“In the middle of last year, I decided to change to three wedges to have more control and have less gapping, which I think was a great decision.

"Since then, I have been using a 50.08F and the reason why is because I wanted something to look and feel as close as possible to a normal pitching wedge.

"I use this club for shots between 125-135 yards, so a club I can use for full shots and it has been working amazingly so far.

"With my 54°, it has covered the gap in an area where I used to always have issues. I used to carry a 52° and 58° before, but this club goes right in-between the two where I can hit it about 110 yards, but a little one can go around 100 yards.

"I have been playing around with this club and the grind for a while, but I am now confident with where we are at with it.

"With my 58.08M, I have played with this loft, bounce and grind for as long as I can remember. There are a lot of guys on tour that change grinds depending on the surface, however for me, I rather keep the same spec and then adapt myself in terms of how I play the shot.”

PGA TOUR | Arnold Palmer Invitational

Gaming a Pro V1 golf ball, the winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational closed with a bogey-free 6-under 66 to post a 15 under total and win by five shots. The champion was the only player to go bogey-free Sunday at Bay Hill, capping a run of 25 straight holes without a bogey to end the tournament.

The longtime Pro V1 player led the field with more than 12 strokes gained tee to green (+12.144), gaining more than half of them on approach shots (+3.312/12th) and around the green (+3.786/1st). He was a perfect 6-for-6 in getting his Pro V1 up-and-down for par on Sunday.

So far this season, the World No. 1 leads the PGA TOUR in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (+2.44 average), SG: Approach (+1.308), Greens in Regulation (80%) and Birdie Average (5.58). He ranks 1st in the FedExCup standings.

He has won all seven of his PGA TOUR titles with a Pro V1 golf ball, including the 2022 Masters.

PGA TOUR | Puerto Rico Open

Brice Garnett (Pro V1) prevailed after a four-hole sudden-death playoff, ending extra holes with a birdie to earn his second career PGA TOUR title. Garnett opened the week with back-to-back 66’s around Grand Reserve Golf Club before turning in two bogey-free rounds over the weekend (68-69) to post 19 under. That 72-hole total was matched by Erik Barnes (Pro V1x), who also carded four sub-70 rounds (66-66-69-68) to force the all-Titleist golf ball playoff.

Garnett only dropped two shots in 76 holes (72 in regulation, four in a playoff) around Grand Reserve Golf Club. He led in Scrambling (17/17, 100%) while hitting 70% of his fairways (42/60, 4th) and 78% of his greens in regulation (59/76, 10th).

BOTH PGA TOUR WINNERS GAME VOKEY WEDGES

The winners of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Puerto Rico Open each gamed three Vokey Design wedges on their way to victory.

At Bay Hill, the champion led the field in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+3.786) with his setup of Vokey SM8 50.12F, 56.14F, SM9 WedgeWorks 60T wedges. He was 15-for-22 in Scrambling (8th) and a perfect 6-for-6 in the final round. The winner, who has had three Vokey wedges in his bag for each of his seven PGA TOUR wins, was the only player in the field to finish bogey-free on Sunday.

In Puerto Rico, the champion leaned on his scoring clubs (Vokey Design SM9 50.08F, 54.14F, NEW SM10 WedgeWorks 60A+ wedges) to finish a perfect 17-for-17 in Scrambling, leading the field.

LPGA | Blue Bay LPGA

Bailey Tardy (Pro V1)  made six birdies and an eagle over her final 11 holes Sunday to storm up the leader board and claim her first career LPGA title by four shots. Tardy, 27, was in total control of her ball-striking on Sunday, hitting 16 of 18 greens in regulation through windy conditions. Her final round 65, which was tied for the low round of the day, followed up a bogey-free Saturday 66 and saw her post 19 under for the week.
