The 2026 PGA TOUR season picked up right where it left off, with more of the world’s best players choosing to tee up Titleist golf balls, drivers, irons and wedges at the Sony Open than any other brand, according to Darrell Survey:
- Titleist was the overwhelming #1 ball in Honolulu with 72% of the field (86 players) playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x model, more than eight times the nearest competitor (10).
- The most played driver on the PGA TOUR for seven straight seasons, Titleist was once again the top choice of competitors off the tee, with 42% of the field (51 players) gaming a Titleist driver.
- Forty-six (38%) players used Titleist irons this week at Waialae Country Club, more than double the nearest competitor (19). Titleist irons have been the top choice of the PGA TOUR for 12 seasons in a row.
- The PGA TOUR’s most played wedge since 2004, Vokey Design wedges made up more than half (53%) of all gap, sand and lob wedges this week at the Sony Open with 187 in play.
- Nacho Elvira was steady down the stretch in Dubai, closing in 2-under 69 to capture his third DPWT title.
- The only player to post all four rounds in the 60’s (69-68-68-69), Elvira converted his 19th and final birdie of the week on the 71st hole, helping open up a one-shot lead with one to play. A par on the last sealed the win.
- The 38-year-old Spaniard’s ball-striking was exceptional all week long, as he ranked 4th in Strokes Gained: Approach (+5.8).
The winner of the Dubai Invitational brought a full set of Vokey Design wedges to the winner’s circle: SM10 WedgeWorks 44F, 50.12F, 54.10S, WedgeWorks 58K*. He ranked 8th in Scrambling (23 of 31, 74%) while gaining +0.52 strokes around the greens (T22).
- Taylor Dickson became the second-ever KFT winner to go bogey-free over 72 holes, shooting rounds of 67-62-67-65 to secure a three-shot victory in the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season opener.
- Dickson closed out his third career KFT title in style down the stretch, holing his Pro V1 for birdie from the greenside bunker on No. 16 to extend his advantage with two to play.
- He was in full control all week long, hitting 82% GIR (T14) and getting up-and-down a perfect 13 for 13 attempts (1st).
- The 33-year-old American led a 1-2-3-4-5 finish for Titleist golf ball players in the Bahamas, with runner-up Roger Sloan (Pro V1x) posting 24 under and three players tied at 23 under.
- Among the T3 finishers was Mason Anderson, who made 25 birdies and two eagles in his first event after moving to the NEW Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball.
In addition to his Pro V1 golf ball, this week’s champion was also gaming his GT2 driver and full set of Vokey Design wedges, which he used to lead the field in Scrambling at 100% (13/13).
