  • Relying on a setup that included his Pro V1x golf ball and GT2 9.0 driver, Titleist Brand Ambassador A.J. Ewart recorded rounds of 66-67-67-66 to prevail by two shots in one of the game’s most pressure-packed environments, locking up his 2026 PGA TOUR card.
  • The 26-year-old Canadian made 18 birdies for the week in Ponte Vedra, including a flourish of four over his final nine holes en route to victory.
  • Ewart, who was gaming a full set of Vokey SM10 wedges, finished T4 in Scrambling at 80% (16/20).
  • Another highlight from Ewart’s week came during the second round, when he aced the 162-yard par-3 5th hole at Dye’s Valley Course with his T100 9-iron and Pro V1x golf ball. “It did exactly what I wanted it to do and landed right where I wanted it to and just happened to go in,” he said after the round.
  • Ewart played on the PGA TOUR Americas in 2025, where he finished 15th in the Fortinet Cup standings. In the season’s penultimate event, Ewart made headlines with an 11-under 59 in Round 2.

EWART (PRO V1x), ROZO (PRO V1) AND WU (PRO V1x) EARN PGA TOUR CARDS

A trio of Titleist golf ball players punched their tickets to the 2026 PGA TOUR, with Marcelo Rozo (Pro V1) and Dylan Wu (Pro V1x) joining medalist A.J. Ewart (Pro V1x) in the top five.

Rozo, who played his final five holes in 2 under, carded rounds of 70-64-65-69 to post 12 under and finish T2. The 36-year-old will be a PGA TOUR rookie in 2026.

Wu eagled the 16th hole of regulation Sunday and then birdied the first hole of a sudden-death playoff with Ben Silverman (Pro V1) to claim the fifth and final TOUR card. The 29-year-old's ball-striking skills were on full display as he finished T2 in Greens in Regulation at 76%.

The low round of the tournament belonged to Trent Phillips (Pro V1x), who closed in 8-under 62 to finish tied for ninth and clinch his 2026 Korn Ferry Tour card.

In total, 75% (130) of the Q-School participants teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor (19).

PGA TOUR/LPGA

LAUREN COUGHLIN EARNS TEAM WIN AT GRANT THORNTON INVITATIONAL

Event: Grant Thornton Invitational (Tiburón Golf Club)

Winning team member: Lauren Coughlin (28-under 188)

Golf ball: Titleist Pro V1

Gaming her Pro V1 golf ball, Lauren Coughlin delivered a strong performance in the mixed two-player team event, helping to bring home the win. Coughlin, a two-time winner on the LPGA, has played Pro V1 since the 2023 Women’s Scottish Open, where she moved out of her previous Pro V1x model seeking a more controlled, penetrating flight in the wind.

Said Coughlin: “I saw a huge benefit and an improved ball flight with [Pro V1]. So then I just kind of stuck with it the rest of the year and I've been using it ever since.”

The move paid off, as she went on to win twice the following year and go undefeated in her first Solheim Cup appearance (3-0-1).

“Controlling my distance I would say is my biggest strength, in terms of I can take a little bit off this if I need to and [the ball] can go a couple yards shorter, or if I really need to step on something, it can go a couple yards longer. Just having that confidence that it’s going to do what I want it to do is very high.”

  • Hellgren’s six Sunday birdies proved to be the difference, as he ended the week one shot clear of runner-up and Titleist Brand Ambassador Jack Thompson (Pro V1x) to secure his first Asian Tour victory.
  • Hellgren and Thompson were among the 88 players (82%) to tee up the #1 ball in golf this week, more than nine times the nearest competitor with nine.

PGA TOUR OF AUSTRALASIA

VICTORIAN PGA CHAMP WINS WITH VOKEY SM10 WEDGES

Event: Victorian PGA Championship (Moonah Links Open & Legends Course)

Winning equipment: Vokey Design SM10 52.08F, 56.08M, WedgeWorks 60A wedges

  • The Victorian PGA champion brought three Vokey SM10 wedges to the winner’s circle, including his 60-degree A Grind — a narrow-soled, low-bounce lob wedge.
  • The A Grind was originally born out of a collaboration between Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill and 2006 U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy. With firm Australian course conditions in mind, Ogilvy was looking for a wedge that moved through firm turf faster than his gamer L Grind.
  • Dill took Ogilvy’s feedback and removed the ribbon on the L grind, resulting in a smoothed-out sole that cut through the ground with less resistance.
  • Said Dill: “I spoke with Geoff, and we got on the topic of Australian golf courses and how they compared to courses in America and around the world. I asked him some specific questions which resulted in an idea to design another lob wedge grind option that complemented the firm links-style conditions that players face – not just in Australia and Europe – but globally. Geoff has always been a low bounce player in his 60-degree, so I took his 60 L Grind wedge and removed the ribbon, resulting in a grind that moves through the turf quickly with very little resistance.”
