Gaming his Pro V1x golf ball, Tyrrell Hatton earned the final half-point needed to clinch the outright victory for Europe in the 45th Ryder Cup. Hatton, the only Ryder Cupper to play four or more matches and go undefeated (3-0-1), was one of 13 Titleist golf ball players across both the European and U.S. teams, with that group combining for 24 ½ points over the five sessions at Bethpage Black.
Titleist drivers (8), iron sets (6) and Vokey wedges (32) were also the top choices of this year’s Ryder Cuppers, including including Titleist Brand Ambassador Ludvig Åberg, who earned Europe’s only full point Sunday, a key 2-and-1 victory that helped stave off a furious American rally.
Also on that list: Cameron Young, one of only two U.S. Ryder Cuppers to earn three points while going 3-1-0 in his Ryder Cup debut.
Young — playing a Pro V1x prototype golf ball and all-Titleist setup that includes his GT driver/fairway/hybrid, T-Series long irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron Phantom putter — won Sunday’s lead-off singles match while finishing the week second in total strokes gained (+5.06), according to Data Golf.
To win his match Sunday, Young rolled his Pro V1x in from 11 feet, 10 inches for birdie using his Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R tour prototype putter, one of six Scotty Cameron putters played this week (T1). Five of those were Phantom models — including the Phantom 5 used by the 2013 U.S. Open champion to gain +4.56 strokes putting during the Saturday fourballs session, more than 3.5 strokes better than second place in that category, according to Data Golf.

Titleist was also the most played driver (50%), fairway (40%), hybrid (41%), iron (43%), wedge (61%) and putter (43%).
