The winner of The Chevron Championship – gaming a setup of five Titleist GT metals including her GT3 driver – missed only one fairway over the weekend in Houston en route to her first major championship title.
She hit all 14 fairways on Saturday, and another 14 on Sunday – 13 in regulation as well as her final tee shot on the first playoff hole to set up her major-winning birdie.
The six-time JLPGA winner, after being named the 2024 LPGA Rookie of the Year, arrived at the Honda LPGA Thailand in February with five new Titleist GT metals in the bag, having made each switch from competitive models.
The winner of The Chevron Championship was one of four players in Sunday’s five-way playoff gaming Vokey Design wedges, as more players at the year’s first major trusted Vokeys than any other wedge.
The champion has played a three-Vokey setup since making the switch from competitive models in May 2023.
Gaming an all-Titleist setup that included her NEW 2025 Pro V1x golf ball, GT3 driver, GT2 fairways and hybrid, blended set of T350 and T200 irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, Gianna Clemente opened with rounds of 71-70 to make the cut at the LPGA’s first major of the year. Clemente, the only amateur to make the weekend, also earned her third LEAP (LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway) point in the process. The LPGA’s new initiative for 2025 gives amateurs like the 17-year-old Clemente the opportunity to earn LPGA membership (by accumulating 20 points over the current year plus previous three calendar years).

On the 71st hole of the week, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans co-champion poured in a 34-foot, 9-inch birdie putt with his Scotty Cameron Concept 2 prototype putter to reach 28 under and take the lead with one hole to play.
The Newport 2-style model is a longtime gamer for the co-champ, who prefers the feel of the prototype GSS insert.
Marco Penge (NEW 2025 Pro V1) earned a decisive three-stroke victory in China, capturing his first career DP World Tour title after pulling away from the field on the back nine on Sunday. The Englishman shot 65-67 (12 under) over the weekend, which saw him reach a 17-under total for the week. His closing round was highlighted by a stretch of seven birdies in nine holes (Nos. 6-14), which helped him regain the lead with which he started the day and then extend his advantage on the chasing pack.
Penge was dialed in all week long with his approach play, leading the field in green in regulation (83%, 60/72) and gaining +5.36 strokes on the field (8th). He also ranked third in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (+4.88).
With the win, Penge rises to No. 11 in the Race to Dubai rankings. He also punched his ticket to next month’s PGA Championship after finishing third on the DP World Tour’s four-event Asian Swing. Earning a spot in the field at Quail Hollow as well was Pro V1 player Eugenio Chacarra (2nd in Asian Swing).
The champion of the Hainan Classic earned his breakthrough win with three Vokey Design SM10 wedges in the bag (50.12F, 56.08M, WedgeWorks 60A+) as well as a Scotty Cameron Super Rat tour prototype putter, which he used to gain over 8.5 strokes on the field on the greens (+8.92, 3rd).
Titleist Brand Ambassador Johnny Keefer went low in Texas, carding rounds of 63-61-66-64 to post 30 under and earn his first KFT victory. Keefer’s winning setup included his Pro V1x golf ball, GT2 driver and fairway, blended set of T200, T150, T100 and 620 CB irons and four Vokey Design wedges.
On Sunday, Keefer closed out his 54-hole lead with confidence, going bogey-free and converting seven birdies. The 24-year-old was in control all week long, hitting 75 percent fairways in regulation (42/56, T11) and 82 percent GIR (59/72, T16).
Nobody made more birdies for the week at Texas Rangers Golf Club than Keefer (31, 1st), who also added a pair of eagles.
Keefer earned fully exempt status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2025 after finishing atop the PGA Tour Americas’ Fortinet Cup standings in 2024. He made 10 starts and finished in the top 10 in nine of them, including his victory at the Manitoba Open.
Keefer topped a leaderboard that featured eight Titleist golf ball players in the top nine positions on the final leaderboard:
