With everything on the line, Brian Campbell stuck his Pro V1x golf ball to within 4 feet of the flagstick, setting up the tap-in birdie that would clinch the playoff and his breakthrough PGA TOUR victory.
That career-changing shot – from 68 yards, his Pro V1x flew low toward the pin before checking and quickly stopping 3 feet, 7 inches from the hole – exemplified Campbell’s weeklong ball-striking and short game clinic.
He gained a field-best +12.252 strokes from tee to green in Mexico – with 92% (+11.301) of them gained on approach shots (+5.842/4th) and around the green (+5.466/2nd).
Campbell was among the 77 percent (101) of players who teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x in Mexico, more than seven times the nearest competitor (13), including playoff runner-up Aldrich Potgieter (NEW 2025 Pro V1x).
The winner of the Mexico Open brought three Vokey Design SM10 wedges to the winner’s circle: 52.12F, 56.10S, WedgeWorks 60L. The champion’s scoring clubs were key in his breakthrough victory, as he gained 5.466 strokes around the greens, ranking second in the field. He hit the tournament-clinching approach with his WedgeWorks 60L Grind lob wedge.
There were 229 Vokey Design gap, sand and lob wedges (59%) in play this week in Mexico, more than four times the total of the nearest competitor (48, 12%).
Titleist Brand Ambassador Aldrich Potgieter, gaming his NEW 2025 Pro V1x golf ball and full bag of Titleist clubs, recorded the best finish of his young PGA TOUR career to date, finishing runner-up in extra holes. Potgieter, who is currently a PGA TOUR rookie, having earned his card at the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, teed up ‘25 Pro V1x for the very first time this week in Mexico. The results followed immediately, as he made 27 birdies over four rounds (T1), including an up-and-down birdie on the 72nd hole to force a playoff. The 20-year-old's all-Titleist setup also includes his NEW GT3 9.0 driver, which he used to gain +4.905 strokes on the field off the tee (5th), as well as his Scotty Cameron 009M tour prototype putter, which helped him lead the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (+ 9.165).

Angel Yin (Pro V1) earned her second career LPGA title, setting the 72-hole tournament scoring record with a 260 total. Yin finished with a flurry, birdieing four of her final six holes, including the par-5 72nd, to reach 28 under and win by one shot.
In full control all week long, the 26-year-old carded rounds of 67-64-64-65 and played her final 47 holes of the tournament without dropping a shot. She hit 88% (49/56) fairways and 92% (66/72) greens in regulation.
