An 11-birdie Sunday for Austin Eckroat (Pro V1) ended with his second PGA TOUR victory of the season, as he closed with a field-best 63 to win by one shot in Mexico while leading a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players.
A longtime Pro V1 player, Eckroat showed total control from tee to green, ball-striking four rounds in the 60’s (68-67-66-63) while hitting 91 percent of his fairways and 83 percent greens in regulation (60 of 72). He made a field-best 30 birdies for the week.
Eckroat was one of 89 players (74%) who teed up a Titleist golf ball at the World Wide Technology Championship, more than eight times the nearest competitor (10) – including 12 of the top 13 finishers:
— “I've been playing the Pro V1 since I was a kid, it's always been good for me. I feel like I have the control around the greens, [it] has the high ball speed numbers. It does everything I want it to do.”
— “I mean, the consistency within the ball is something that you really need. It's something I've never worried about playing a Pro V1. Never even crossed my mind to wonder if the bad shot I just hit was my golf ball.”
– “I mark my Titleist with a three-dimple line and then an orange dot [to the top right of the play number] – the orange is for Oklahoma State. It's an alignment thing – I’ve bounced back and forth from full lines, no lines. I’ve done it all. I think most golfers have, and it’s just something that I could kind of – it doesn’t seem as precise – something that I can do and I feel comfortable with. And I probably started doing that maybe my junior year of college and I’ve stuck with it.”
A Lim Kim (Pro V1) closed in 4-under 68 to claim her second career LPGA title while leading a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players in Hawaii:
Kim, who finished the week at 18 under par to win by two shots, jumped 43 spots in the Race to the CME Globe standings, locking up a spot in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
Perhaps the shot of the week for Kim came in Round 3, when she sent a 9-iron right at the pin on the 140-yard par-3 9th, her Pro V1 dropping into the cup for an ace. The 2020 U.S. Women’s Open champion kept the pressure on, making nine birdies over her next 27 holes, with no player bettering Kim’s 9-under total for Rounds 3 and 4.
Kim was one of 90 players (75%) who teed up a Titleist golf ball, more than five times the nearest competitor (16, 33%).
The seeding and validation process for the NEW 2025 Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls continued this week on the LPGA Tour, with the new models available to players for the first time to play in competition. With just two events left in the 2024 campaign, seven players made the immediate move to ‘25 V or X, including Sofia Garcia (Pro V1x), Gina Kim (Pro V1x) and Danielle Kang (Pro V1x).
The winner of the LOTTE Championship gamed three Vokey wedges in her winning setup: Vokey Design SM9 50.08F, 58.08M, WedgeWorks 60T.
Paul Waring (Pro V1x Left Dash) finished birdie-birdie on Sunday to cap off a bogey-free 66 and earn the biggest title of his career, posting 24 under to win by two shots. Waring’s second career DPWT title moved him up 43 spots to No. 5 in the Race to Dubai ranking with one event remaining – and 10 PGA TOUR cards up for grabs.
In addition to his flawless final round, Waring made headlines in Round 2, when he set the course record at Yas Links, an 11-under 61 highlighted by nine birdies and an eagle.
Over four rounds in Abu Dhabi, Waring made 25 birdies and an eagle, while only dropping three shots. He finished second in Strokes Gained: Approach (+1.31 per round) and third in SG: Tee to Green (+1.70 per round). He hit 86% of his greens in regulation (T13) and finished T8 in Scrambling (70%).
The winner in Abu Dhabi played two Vokey Design wedges: SM10 56.10S, WedgeWorks 60.06K. He finished T8 in Scrambling for the week (70%).
In the final Champions Tour event of the year, Bernhard Langer rolled in his Pro V1x for birdie on the last to claim his 47th career Champions Tour title and make it 18 consecutive years with at least one victory. Langer, the winningest player in Champions Tour history, closed with a 5-under 66 to post 18 under and win by one. The 67-year-old led the field in birdies, making 28 over 72 holes.
One back of Langer was Steven Alker (Pro V1), who finished atop the season-long Schwab Cup standings. It is Alker’s second career Schwab Cup victory.
Daihan Lee (Pro V1x) earned his maiden KPGA victory in the 2024 season finale, closing in 5-under 66 to win by three. Lee shot four consecutive rounds of 67 or lower (67-67-66-66) to post 18 under.
Finishing T2 this week was Titleist Brand Ambassador Yubin Jang, who claimed the season-long Genesis Grand Prize and finished on top of the 2024 KPGA money list. He also led the KPGA in scoring average, top-10 finishes and driving distance.

Titleist was the overwhelming #1 ball at the KPGA Tour Championship, with 52 players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball (77%) compared to eight (12%) for the nearest competitor.
Titleist was also the most played driver (52%), fairway (40%), hybrid (52%), iron (50%), wedge (76%) and putter (41%).
Dasom Ma (Pro V1) emerged victorious from a playoff, winning her second event in as many weeks and her third event of the season. Ma shot a final round 5-under 67 to post 7 under before making birdie on the second extra hole to seal the win.
Zihao Jin (Pro V1) made it back-to-back wins while claiming his fourth China Tour title of the year. Jin shot rounds of 67-65-68-67 to post 21 under, one shot clear of Titleist Brand Ambassador Zecheng Dou.
Titleist was the overwhelming #1 ball in play, with 53 players teeing up a Titleist, more than 13 times the nearest competitor with 4.
This week’s winner on the China Tour had three Vokey wedges in his bag: Vokey Design SM10 50.08F, 56.10S, WedgeWorks 60.06K.
