CARLSBAD, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2024) – Titleist introduces Scotty Cameron's Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putter, a special release compact mallet crafted with a Chromatic Bronze finish and a tour-proven plumbing neck configuration. The unique mid-mallet putter design, inspired by wins across the worldwide professional tours, also includes a new chain-link face milling pattern and a custom Full Contact grip.
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putter is available in select Titleist golf shops worldwide beginning Friday, September 27.
“The GOLO 6 putter head size has been in play for a couple years now. And as more touring pros adopt this compact mallet shape, we get into the prototype phase of experimenting with different neck configurations and finishes based on player feedback. The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD is just that: a new design that adds a familiar plumbing neck, our very popular but rare Chromatic Bronze finish, and a new chain-link face milling.”
“With the Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putter, we’re offering a small run of a new configuration based on the popular Super Select GOLO 6 models. We get requests from tour players for different setups based on the GOLO 6 head size, and after testing a plumbing neck on this rounded, compact mallet, we discovered that players really like the familiar view from address to help with setup and alignment, as well as the feel of a trusted neck design. It’s a beautiful putter built to perform at our game’s highest levels.”
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD is a compact mallet based on the Super Select GOLO 6 head shape, which offers high stability and MOI, and is precision-milled from 303 stainless steel. It features a Chromatic Bronze finish, often found on tour-only offerings, with asphalt and dirty white accents as well as a black anodized 6061 aluminum sole plate. A new chain-link face milling technology, an I-beam-style plumbing neck, a custom Full Contact grip and a model-specific shaft band round out the setup.
In addition to the standard right-handed model, a very small run of left-handed models has also been created.
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD features a Chromatic Bronze finish, achieved by a proprietary manufacturing process that changes the color of the 303 stainless steel putter head. The result is a glare-reducing golden hue. The putter’s topline is manually misted and the face is hand-buffed before its application.
The putter’s chain-link face technology delivers a tour-inspired feel, combining the softness of deep-milled putters with the consistency and feedback of mid-milled offerings. The brand new chain-link inspired pattern and texture is exclusive to Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD.
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putter features performance balanced weighting with two customizable stainless steel sole weights made in 10-gram, 15-gram and 20-gram increments matched to the associated putter lengths of 33-inches, 34-inches and 35-inches.
The setup features a custom-designed, paddle-style Full Contact grip with a chain-link texture, matching the putter’s face milling. Each putter includes an embroidered Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD headcover, a stepless steel shaft and the line’s custom Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD shaft band.
Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putters will be available worldwide at select Titleist authorized golf shops on September 27th, 2024, while supplies last. MSRP: $800.
