The winner of the Memorial Tournament earned his fifth title of the season using his Pro V1 golf ball, posting 8 under for the week at Muirfield Village to win by one. In total control of his golf ball over the four days, he gained a field-best 12.96 strokes with his approach play and hit 50 greens in regulation (69%, 1st).
The winner also had three Vokey wedges in his winning setup (Vokey Design SM8 50.12F, 56.14F, SM9 WedgeWorks 60T wedges). The last four winners on the PGA TOUR have had two or more Vokey wedges in their winning setups.
This week's champion has used a Pro V1 golf ball and three Vokey wedges to win each of his 11 PGA TOUR titles.
The next generation of PGA TOUR’s most played driver – Titleist GT – launched this week at the Memorial Tournament, with 13 players immediately putting the new models in play.
On Tuesday morning, Byeong-Hun An worked with Titleist tour reps to get dialed into his new setup. After just two swings with his NEW GT4 driver, he announced: “Okay, I think it’s in.” An, who stepped to the first tee Thursday with his GT4 9.0 model in the bag, gained 1.873 strokes on the field off the tee by week’s end while finishing second in Driving Distance (308.5 yards).
Will Zalatoris was also among those who made the immediate move to GT, adding a NEW GT2 9.0 model in the bag: “Immediately I’m picking up a mile and a half ball speed, that equates to about another six-ish, seven yards of carry. The feel is amazing. That’s probably the biggest thing that I’ve really picked up. And the first time I hit it, it was just this euphoric, really solid, really fast off the face. I always love kind of the dampened sound.”
“It feels more solid to me,” said Billy Horschel of his NEW GT3 9.0 driver. “I know where the ball is better…Even the ones I missed, the dispersion is still tight. We haven’t lost anything. It’s faster, spin rate is more consistent.”
The introduction of the new Titleist GT2, GT3 and GT4 drivers, as well as the new GT2 and GT3 fairway metals, at Muirfield Village signaled the start to the tour seeding and validation process that will continue over the coming weeks across the worldwide professional tours.
For five seasons and counting, Titleist drivers have been the top choice among the world’s best players competing on the PGA TOUR. This week at the Memorial, 40 percent of the drivers in play were Titleist (29), nine more than the nearest competitor.
Earning her first career win in dramatic fashion, Linnea Strom (Pro V1x) carded an 11-under 60 Sunday to move up 51 places on the leaderboard and win by one. Strom’s bogey-free 60 set the LPGA record for low final round score by a winner, and her comeback is the largest by position since 1984. It also marked just the seventh round of 60 or better in LPGA history.
The 27-year-old's day began with four birdies and an eagle on the front nine. She added five more birdies on the back nine to come home in 29 and post the clubhouse lead at 14 under. The round was the lowest of the day by four shots.
After starting the day 11 shots back of the lead, Linn Grant chipped in her Pro V1 golf ball on the 72nd hole to cap off a final-round 65 and an improbable comeback victory in her hometown of Helsingborg. The walk-off hole-out marked the seventh birdie of the 24-year-old's bogey-free final round, moving her to 17 under for the week (67-68-71-65) to complete the one-shot victory.
Grant’s victory marks her second DP World Tour title, as she became the first female winner in DPWT history when she won the event in 2022 as well. The win also marks her sixth LET title.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Ryan Gerard earned his first KFT title with a runaway six-shot win in South Carolina. Gerard – who gamed his Pro V1 golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment, including his TSR3 driver, blended set of T-Series irons, four Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron putter – shot rounds of 64-66-63-66 to post 26 under and pull away from the field.
Gerard made 27 birdies and two eagles over three rounds at Thornblade Club and one round at Carolina Country Club. The 24-year-old led the field in Putts per GIR (1.53) while ranking third for the week in Scrambling (17/19, 89%) and hitting 77% of his fairways (T9). With the victory, he is projected to rise to No. 10 on the season-long points list.

Hiroshi Iwata (Pro V1x) earned his first JGTO major title with a par on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff. Iwata shot a final round 3-under 68 on Sunday to post 13 under before prevailing in extra holes.
With this week’s champion gaming two NEW Vokey SM10 wedges (52, 58), the win streak for Vokey wedge players on the Japan Tour now stretches to six events.
Galam Jeon (Pro V1x) shot a final-round 65 to win by three shots and add a KPGA major title to his resume. Jeon made six birdies on Sunday en route to posting 17 under. The win marks his third career KPGA victory.
Minji Park (Pro V1) finished off a wire-to-wire victory to win the Celltrion Queens Masters for the fourth year in a row. Park opened the week with an 8-under 64 to jump out to the solo lead before recording scores of 69 and 70 in the second and third rounds. Her 13-under total saw her win by three.
Jacques Blaauw (Pro V1x) made par on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to earn his sixth career Sunshine Tour title. Blaauw shot rounds of 71-71-69 to post 5 under for the tournament before prevailing in extra holes.
