DP WORLD TOUR | Australian PGA Championship

Gaming two Vokey Design SM9 wedges, the winner of the Australian PGA Championship secured the victory with a closing 3-under 68 that included “one of the best shots I've probably hit.”

Faced with a pitch from short right of the green Sunday on the 574-yard par-5 9th, the champion pulled his Vokey SM9 WedgeWorks 60T lob wedge and holed out for eagle to go out in 32. He also plays an SM9 56.14F sand wedge.

“I've had a few chip ins, but that one was, at that point it was getting close and I was in a pretty average position off the tee shot after the tee shot, so to chip that in and it was amazing,” he said. “I wish, I want to see it straight away. I would like to see it. It was one of the best shots I’ve probably hit.”

According to Master Craftsman Bob Vokey, the T grind is built for players seeking to unlock ultimate creativity around the greens. It is a low-bounce wedge with a narrow crescent surface and wider back flange, best for players with shallow and precise deliveries, as well as those playing off firm conditions.

The T Grind is one of the most popular grinds on Tour, and it lives in the bags of many of the world’s best, including Titleist Brand Ambassadors Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris as well as the world Nos. 1, 5 and 6.
