FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Sept. 2, 2020) – Golfers trying to find the best golf ball for their game can begin the fitting process by booking a one-on-one video call with an expert Titleist golf ball fitter.
Titleist Virtual Golf Ball Consultations – now available Monday-Friday through the Golf Ball Fitting page on Titleist.com – allow golfers who aren’t able to attend an in-person Titleist Golf Ball Fitting event the opportunity to speak directly to one of the same fitters they would meet on site.
Virtual consultations will mirror the initial conversation a golfer would have with a Titleist fitter if they were at the course. This includes an in-depth assessment of the golfer’s game, analyzing their performance objectives and personal preferences. At the end of the video call, the fitter will provide recommended Titleist golf ball models that the golfer can test on the golf course using Titleist’s Golf Ball Fitting Evaluation Scorecard.
Titleist’s Tour-validated “Green-to-Tee” approach to golf ball fitting – which involves an evaluation of all shots on the golf course, with the greatest emphasis placed on scoring shots – successfully fits players of all abilities, from the world’s best to high-handicap amateurs.
“A true golf ball fitting can only happen on the golf course where you can see and feel the differences between golf ball models and gain a real understanding for which one will help you shoot your lowest scores,” said Michael Rich, Senior Manager, Titleist Golf Ball Fitting and Education. “Whether we’re working with a golfer in person or online, it’s ultimately up to them to take our recommendations to the course and test the golf balls side-by-side on a variety of different shots, especially into and around the green. The golf ball is such a critical part of your game – it’s the only piece of equipment you use on every shot – and we’re doing everything we can to reach more and more golfers every year and help them find the Titleist golf ball that fits them best.”
Virtual consultations are complimentary and scheduled for up to 30 minutes, allowing golfers time to ask any additional questions they have about golf ball performance and fitting.
In addition to in-person events and virtual consultations, golfers can also begin the fitting process by using the Titleist Golf Ball Selection tool on Titleist.com. After answering a series of questions, golfers are provided a recommended and alternative ball to test on the golf course.
